Police seize cocaine and cash in Deer Lake

The RCMP/RNC JFO West has charged 26-year-old Jordan Turner with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine following the search of a hotel room in Deer Lake on Thursday.

During Turner’s arrest outside the hotel, he was searched and officers found approximately 26 grams of cocaine, that was individually wrapped, and more than $1300.00 in cash.

Police executed a search warrant at a hotel room associated with Turner and located and seized approximately 4.5 ounces of cocaine and items consistent with drug trafficking.

The accused appeared in court on Friday afternoon and was held in custody.
