Police seeking for witnesses, video footage following a incident that sent two individuals to hospital, Saturday afternoon

On August 31, 2024, at 1:25 p.m., the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to an incident outside a parking garage on Harbour Drive near Baird's Cove. The officers had Harbour Drive closed from Bishops Cove to Jobs Cove for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

By approximately 3:25 p.m., the officers concluded their presence at the scene, and Harbour Drive was reopened to traffic. The RNC issued a media post stating that officers are still in the area of Harbour Drive in St. John’s following a police request.

During the incident, two individuals were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The RNC is appealing for any witnesses or video footage from the area of Harbour Drive between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. on that day.
