Police search for suspect after two armed robberies in St. John's

The RNC is asking for publics help in identifying an individual that is believed to have committed two armed robberies in St. John's.
On Monday at 5:19 pm police were alerted to a robbery at the Mary Brown’s on Topsail Road. A man entered the store and presented a weapon and demanded cash. The man was not successful in obtaining cash at that time and fled on foot.
The suspect was described as a man wearing a red and black jacket and carrying a reusable bag.
At 5:36 pm police responded to another report of a robbery at the Marie’s Mini Mart on Thorburn Road and demanded cash. In this robbery, the man also had a weapon. The man fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was described as a man wearing a black and red hoodie, with the hood over his head and black pants.
