Police conclude operation in Ferndale

UPDATE: Placentia RCMP advises that the police operation in Ferndale has safely concluded.

Residents can once again return to regular activities in the area, however, there may be an ongoing police presence in the community as the investigation continues.

EARLIER STORY: The RCMP in Placentia is advising of an increased police presence in the community of Ferndale. A portion of Ferndale Road has been closed due to a police operation.

Residents are being asked to avoid the area at this time. 

In the interest of police safety, the public is asked to refrain from posting images, video and information about police activities.
