Police operation underway in Carbonear

The RCMP is currently conducting a police operation in Carbonear. Residents will see an increased police presence in the area of Lower Southside Road.

While police do not believe there is any immediate threat to general public safety, residents are being asked to avoid the area at this time.

In the interest of police safety, police are asking that the public refrain from posting images, videos, and information about police activities.
