The RNC has charged a 27-year-old man in connection with the homicide of an 82-year-old female that occurred on Mitchell Court in St. John’s in March of 2022.

On March 16, police launched an investigation into the death of an 82-year-old female of St. John’s after she was pronounced deceased in her home on Mitchell Court.

Through consultation with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death was treated as a homicide by investigators.

As a result of the investigation, Brandon Tobin from St. John’s stands charged with manslaughter and failure to comply with a court order.

At this time, Tobin is currently serving a sentence on an unrelated matter in Spring Hill, Nova Scotia, and will be served with a summons to appear in Provincial Court.
