Police investigating violent assault at high school in St. John's
Police are investigating a violent assault that occurred at Prince of Wales Collegiate high school on Paton Street in St. John’s.
Officers responded to the school just before noon on Thursday.
A 16-year-old male had sustained serious injuries and required medical attention. The injured male was transported to the Janeway Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police are also seeking video footage from Paton Street, Elizabeth Avenue, from Westerland Road to Freshwater Road, Anderson Avenue, Stabb Court, Keegan Court, Cowperthwaite Court, and Mitchell Court.
