Police investigating vehicle-pedestrian collision that sent one person to hospital in St John's, Thursday evening

St. John's, N.L. – On Thursday evening.


The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), along with the St. John's Regional Fire Department and NL Health Services, were dispatched to a vehicle-pedestrian collision shortly before 8:00 p.m.


The incident occurred on Lemarchant Road at the intersection of Campbell Avenue, where a small SUV was traveling eastbound when the collision took place. At this time, it remains unclear whether the vehicle or the pedestrian had the right of way. One individual was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.


The RNC's Traffic Services Unit and Forensic Identification Section arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Further details will be provided as they become available.
