Police investigating murder from 22 years ago after social media post

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is investigating after a post was made on social media alleging an individual was involved in a murder that happened 22 years ago.

Back on March 11, 2000, the body of Randolph Cormier was found in the water off of Black Banks Beach near Barachois Brook. He was reported missing on February 9, 2000.

The information contained in the social media post is being investigated by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit West.

At this time the crime remains unsolved.
