Police investigating break enter and theft in Witless Bay

The RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft at the Community Credit Union in Witless Bay that occurred on Sunday.

A stolen excavator was used to break into the business and an ATM was stolen from inside.

Both an excavator and a pickup truck were stolen from a nearby business and were used to commit the crime.

The excavator caused extensive damages to the entrance of the business and the pickup truck was used to transport the stolen ATM.

The pickup truck was located burned out in a gravel pit off of the Holyrood Access Road
