Police investigating arson in Bayview

The RCMP is investigating an arson that happened in Bayview on Monday.

Shortly after midnight police responded to the fire at an abandoned foundation of a home.

The fire was quickly extinguished. There was no damage to nearby properties.

Evidence gathered at the scene has determined that the fire was intentionally set.

Twillingate RCMP responded to a separate arson at a nearby abandoned home last month.

Police are asking that anyone with information about either of these occurrences to contact Twillingate RCMP at 709-884-2811 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers.
