Police investigate stabbing in St. John’s overnight

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a stabbing that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning in the city’s centre.

At approximately 1:07 a.m. on June 30, 2025, officers responded to a report of an assault. When police arrived on the scene, they found a man lying in the roadway with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

Members of the RNC’s Forensic Identification Section were called to assist with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
