Police hand out 140 speeding tickets

Both the RCMP and RNC teamed up for traffic enforcement on Tuesday and handed out 140 speeding tickets near Butter Pot Park.

The average speed of violators was nearly 140 km/h and officers were kept quite busy pulling over vehicle after vehicle throughout the day.

Two drivers were stopped for travelling more than 160 km/h. They both received driver’s licence suspensions and their vehicles were seized and impounded.
