Police find impaired driver in stolen car

RNC responded to a report of an impaired driver in St. John's on Saturday evening.

Police were informed that there was a possible impaired driver at a retail outlet in the west end of the city.

Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot. The 47-year-old male operator was arrested and charged with impaired driving and operation over 0.80.

At the time, the man was operating a stolen vehicle.

The accused was also charged with possession of stolen property over $5000.00. The male was held to appear in court. The vehicle was seized.
