Police arrest wanted man near the Avalon Mall

On Monday evening the RNC were called to a residence in the area of the Avalon Mall in St. John's.

Upon police arrival, the 34-year-old male had fled on foot. Police determined that man in question was wanted.

Police set up containment of the area and with the assistance of the RNC K9 unit, the male was located and arrested for an outstanding warrant and additional breaches of an emergency protection order.

The accused was held for court this morning.
