Police arrest male following assault in the city's west-end

At approximately 5:00 p.m. Officers with Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to an assault in the area of the Waterford Hospital in the city's west-end.

Police located the 39 year old male and he was charged with one count of assault. The male was released on documents to appear in Provincial

Court at a later date.

The victim did not require any medical attention.
