A plane had to make an emergency landing at the St. John’s International Airport on Monday evening.

A Boeing 767 United Airlines flight had a smell of smoke onboard the aircraft. The plane was travelling from Newark and heading to Geneva when smoke was detected in the aircraft, and it was then diverted to St. John’s.

The plane landed safely in St. John’s and the cause of the smoke is being investigated. There were no injuries.
