RCMP charged 55-year-old William Morris of Placentia for intimidation with a firearm on Wednesday.

On Sunday evening the RCMP police received a report of an altercation involving a firearm.

An individual contacted police and said he was confronted by the accused in an irate manner who was holding a handgun in his hand. The two were involved in a verbal dispute earlier that day and Morris had returned with a handgun as a form of intimidation.

The incident was captured on video and the handgun appeared to be real.

Police executed a search warrant at his Placentia residence. A BB-style handgun, which at a glance was indistinguishable from a real firearm, was located and seized.

The accused was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
