Pitts Memorial Drive construction project nearing completion

Motorists travelling on Pitts Memorial Drive will notice a difference soon as work nears completion.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure has completed work on the Cloverleaf Overpass on Pitts Memorial Drive, which connects to the Trans-Canada Highway. The contractor is now demobilizing from the site.

Work on the CN Viaduct along Pitts Memorial Drive is expected to finish on Saturday.

Construction on the bridge structure on Pitts Memorial Drive above Blackhead Road is scheduled to continue until December 13. Once this bridge work is complete, traffic will be free-flowing to and from the St. John’s downtown area.
