Phoenix greenhouse and meditation garden officially opens at HMP

On Tuesday the Phoenix greenhouse and meditation garden officially opened at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary in St. John’s on Tuesday.

The Phoenix Garden Project is a horticulture therapy program that creates opportunities for inmates to heal, learn new skills, and connect with others in a therapeutic environment.

Minister of Justice and Public Safety John Hogan along with community partners were there for the opening.
