Person Taken to Hospital Following Multi Vehicle Collision in Mount Pearl

At least one person was taken to hospital on Thursday following a multi-vehicle collision in Mount Pearl.

Firefighters were alerted about the call just before 12:10 p.m. on Old Placentia Road between the intersection of Munden Drive and Smallwood Drive in Mount Pearl.

Crews arrived to find a three-vehicle collision on Old Placentia Road. Firefighters quickly assessed the incident and the people on scene. One occupant was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

Old Placentia Road was closed for some time as crews worked to clear the collision. All three vehicles sustained moderate to significant damage.
