Person taken to Hospital after being Struck by Vehicle in Paradise

One person was taken to hospital on Saturday after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Topsail Road and Karwood Drive in Paradise.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at approximately 5:58 p.m. on Saturday evening. Crews arrived and treated the male who appeared to be riding a bicycle. The male, who was lying in the road, was placed on a stretcher and taken to hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle that collided with the pedestrian remained on the scene of the collision. Traffic in the area was slowed as crews worked to clear the incident.
