Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Carbonear

A pedestrian was transported to Carbonear General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Columbus Drive in Carbonear.

On Wednesday evening a collision occurred near Tim Hortons.

A car that was departing the parking lot of Tim Hortons struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road on Columbus Drive. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene of the collision and was last seen turning left onto Powell Drive.

The vehicle involved was a black Honda Civic.

The investigation is continuing.
