Pedestrian-only zone reopens in Quidi Vidi Village

This is the first weekend for the pedestrian-only zone in Quidi Vidi Village. This weekend-only zone will be in place from Friday to Sunday until September 4.

Barrows Road and Stone’s Road will be closed to through traffic from Friday to Sunday, noon to 10 p.m. Local traffic will be permitted with barricades staffed during these hours.

Access will be granted for Quidi Vidi Village Artisan Studio vendors and deliveries for local businesses, as well as users of the slipway for recreational fishing.

While skateboarding and using bicycles are permitted, riders are asked to be respectful, giving pedestrians the right of way.

This is the third year for the pedestrian-only zone.

The pedestrian mall has also reopened for the season.
