Patrick Roche will be the RNC interim Chief of Police

Patrick Roche will be the RNC interim Chief of Police.

The appointment was made on Monday by John Hogan, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General.

Roche has been with the RNC since 1985. He has worked in the Patrol Services and Criminal Investigation Divisions. Most recently he was the Commanding Officer of Corner Brook and Labrador.

Current RNC Chief Joe Boland will retire on July 31, 2021.

Roche will assume his duties on August 1.
