Pair arrested after breaking into home under construction in Portugal Cove – St. Philips

Just before 1:00 a.m. this morning, the RNC responded to a possible break and enter in progress at a new home under construction in Portugal Cove – St. Philips.

Officers located the suspects on scene as their vehicle had become stuck in the snow.

The stolen items were recovered, and the two males were arrested for theft.

Both males were taken to the St. John’s lockup. The 39-year-old male was charged with theft, while the 44-year-old male was charged with theft and public mischief for providing a false name.
