Open house planned at the Materials Recovery Facility

There will be an open house at the Materials Recovery Facility in Robin Hood Bay on October 16.

The open house will be an opportunity for the public to see how recycling is collected, sorted and bundled for new markets.

St. John's introduced mandatory recycling and now states that they are collecting a sustained 25-30% more recycling than in previous years.

The open house gets underway at 11:00 am and continues until 2:00 pm.
