Pedestrian sent to hospital following serious vehicle-pedestrian collision on Kenmount Road

One person has been sent to hospital after a serious collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian in St. John’s earlier this morning.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Kenmount Road and Polina Road near the Avalon Mall at around 6:20 a.m. following reports indicating a vehicle had struck a pedestrian at the intersection.

Traffic was blocked off on Kenmount Road at the intersection of Polina Road to around civic 35 Kenmount Rd, as police conducted their investigation.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary collision reconstructionalist were on the scene for several hours to investigate the incident, The road was reopened at around 9:40 a.m. this morning to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
