One sent to hospital after serious fire in downtown St. John's

On Saturday at 11:14 pm, the St. John's Regional Department and the RNC responded to a serious residential fire in the downtown area of St. John’s.

Firefighters were battling a serious blaze affecting several homes in the area.

One person was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. Several people have been displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
