One sent to hospital after car accident in Clarenville on Thursday

Shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, the Clarenville Fire Department along with Clarenville RCMP and Fewers Ambulance responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on Huntley Drive.

As emergency crews arrived, the vehicle hit a tree coming to a rest.

The driver of the vehicle had to be extricated by volunteer firefighters and was sent to Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville for treatment.

RCMP Traffic Services East also attended the accident. The accident is under investigation.
