One person was taken to hospital following a dramatic single vehicle crash on the Outer Ring Road on Saturday

Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to a vehicle collision on the Outer Ring Road on Saturday evening just West of the Thorburn Road over pass.

When firefighters arrived on scene, A single vehicle had came to a rest in a wooded area just nearly missing a guardrail just feet away, the vehicle involved was significantly damaged.

The occupant of the vehicle appeared to have minor injuries but was taken to hospital aboard a Newfoundland Health Services Ambulance.

Traffic West of the Thorburn Road over pass was down to one lane as emergency services attended the scene.
