One person was sent to hospital with reported serious injuries following a single-vehicle roll-over crash in St John's, Saturday night.
Emergency crews were called the the area of Pitts Memorial Drive in the eastbound lanes between Killbride and Downtown, shortly after 9:00 p.m. for reports that a vehicle that crashed and rolled over.
When crews arrived on the scene, they found a four-door Jeep truck laying in the ditch and it's front axle laying right next to it. Reports from Witnesses on the ground, said that the vehicle was traveling at a very high rate of speed before the collision occurred.
Witnesses also said that they may have been other individual in the vehicle at the time and was possibly thrown from the vehicle but crews were unable to locate an other person.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) had Pitts Memorial Drive closed at the Killbride exit eastbound and westbound lanes were slowed as crews worked in the area.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Police Service Dog and Collision Analysts also attended to the scene.
