One person was sent to hospital following a dramatic single-vehicle crash near North West Brook on Sunday

Clarenville RCMP along with paramedics with Newfoundland Health Services and volunteer firefighters with Northern Bight and Clarenville Fire Departments were dispatched to reports of a single-vehicle role-over just east of Route 204 on the Trans Canada Highway at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.
A male the lone occupant of the SUV was reportedly ejected landing approximately 50 feet in a wooded area. Good samaritans stopped to render aid to the conscious person until emergency services could arrive on the scene.
The male was treated and placed aboard a nearby waiting ambulance where he was taken to Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
Traffic in the area was down to one lane while emergency personnel attended the scene. The vehicle did sustain significant damage as a result of the crash.
