Clarenville RCMP along with paramedics with Newfoundland Health Services and volunteer firefighters with Northern Bight and Clarenville Fire Departments were dispatched to reports of a single-vehicle role-over just east of Route 204 on the Trans Canada Highway at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.

A male the lone occupant of the SUV was reportedly ejected landing approximately 50 feet in a wooded area. Good samaritans stopped to render aid to the conscious person until emergency services could arrive on the scene.

Traffic in the area was down to one lane while emergency personnel attended the scene. The vehicle did sustain significant damage as a result of the crash.
