One woman was safely rescued from a cliff in Middle Cove on Sunday evening.
Firefighters got the call at around 6:25 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a water rescue on Middle Cove beach.
The women who was stuck on the side of a cliff was safely rescued with assistance from the St. John’s Regional Fire Departments high angle rescue team. She was then brought to a ambulance and was transported to hospital with no serious injuries.
Middle Cove beach was closed to the public as firefighters reacues the women. Reports say that a RNC officer also assisted in the rescue and was brought up a short time later with no injuries.
