One person taken to hospital following three-vehicle collision in Mount Pearl, Thursday evening.

One person was taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle rear-end collision at the intersection of Ruth Avenue and Michener Avenue in Mount Pearl, this Thursday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Ruth Avenue and Michener Avenue at around 5:20 p.m. for reports of a traffic collision that had occurred.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found three vehicles that had been involved in a rear-end accident in the right lane closest to Michener Avenue (Northbound).

Firefighters attended to all the individuals involved in the collision until paramedics could arrive and at least one male opponent of a unknown vehicle was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Crews from St John's Regional Fire Department (SJRFD), Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS) and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) all responded to the collision.
