One person sustains minor injuries following assault with Taser in the city's west-end

On September 30th | 2024

Shortly before 1:00 p.m. Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC)

responded to a disturbance at a west end residence. After the Police arrival, a 31 year

old male was charged with assault, assault by choking, possession of a prohibited

weapon- a Taser, and breach of probation.

He was transported to the lock up to appear

before a judge. The other individual sustained minor injuries and was released from

hospital.

The investigation is still ongoing.
