One person sent to hospital with serious injuries following vehicle Vs pedestrian collision in the East-end of St.John’s

One person was sent to hospital after being struck by a pickup truck on Torbay Road in the East-end of St. John’s on Tuesday.
Emergency services got the call around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday for a vehicle vs pedestrian accident on Torbay Road between Macdonald Drive and Bairds Lane.
Traffic coming down Torbay Road by Macdonald Drive was detoured into Tim Hortons parking lot and then back out onto Torbay Road, Traffic coming up Torbay Road by Slattery Road were detour around the accident.
Members from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s collision analysts team attended the scene.
The female pedestrian was sent to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injury’s.
