One person sent to hospital following single vehicle crash west of Clarenville Monday evening

Shortly before 4:40 p.m. Clarenville RCMP along with Clarenville Volunteer fire department and NL Health Services responded to reports of a vehicle accident 4 kilometres west of Clarenville before the Shoal Harbour river bridge on the TCH.

When emergency crews arrived on the scene the vehicle which was travelling west crossed over the center line into the eastbound lanes and hit a guard rail stopping the vehicle from going over the steep embankment.

At least one person was sent to the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville for assessment of what are believed to be minor injuries.
