North River Bridge in Clarke’s Beach to be Replaced
The provincial government has awarded a $3.7 million contract to Complete Concrete Solutions to replace the North River Bridge on Route 70 in Clarke’s Beach.
The contract includes work to construct a new bridge and a temporary road diversion around the bridge while work is ongoing, install rip rap and gabion walls, and regrade and pave Route 70.
Construction will start this fall and it is anticipated that the project will be completed in 2022.
Motorists should travel at a reduced speed and drive cautiously in the area while work is ongoing.
