No serious injuries following two-vehicle collision in Mount Pearl, late Tuesday afternoon

No serious injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision in Mount Pearl late Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Topsail Road at the intersection with Park Avenue and Team Gushue Highway. Firefighters found two vehicles that had suffered moderate damage. One occupant of an SUV was assessed at the scene but did not require transport to the hospital, while the other occupant was reported to be unharmed.

Traffic in the area was significantly slowed and backed up for over an hour until the vehicles could be cleared.
