No serious injuries following single-vehicle crash in Portugal Cove-St Philip's, Friday evening.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to a portion of Portugal Cove Road between Loop Drive and Ferry Terminal Road, shortly before 5:30 p.m. following reports of a vehicle off the road.

Upon arrival, Firefighters found a single-vehicle crashed into a rocky cliff with one lone opponent. NL Health Services Paramedics arrived on the scene and assessed a individual at the scene for what are believed to not be serious injuries, at the time for the collision, it's unclear if the individual was transported to hospital. The vehicle involved sustained significant damage after it crashed into the rocky surface.

Portugal Cove Road in the area of the collision was closed for some time until crews would work to clear the area.
