No serious injuries following single vehicle crash in Avalon Mall Parking Garage

There were no serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash in the Avalon Mall parking garage on Saturday night.

Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to the Avalon Mall parking garage just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night for reports of a vehicle fire.

When firefighters arrived on scene a single-vehicle had collided into one of the entranceway of the Avalon Mall on the third floor of the parking garage. Security guards who were working in the Avalon Mall at the time of the crash helped secure the scene until emergency personnel could arrive. The vehicle involved did sustain significant damage and caused damage to the parking garage.

It is unknown what caused the vehicle to collide into the parking garage fortunately there were no serious injuries to report.
