No New COVID-19 Cases Today, Alert Level 3 on Track

There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador today. There remains 261 cases in total.

Two of those cases are active. This is the eighth straight day of no new cases.

Of these cases, 1 person is in hospital. 256 have recovered. To date, there have been three deaths. A total of 12,952 people have been tested.

When we enter Alert Level Three on Monday, there will be standards for entering hair salons/barber shops, spa and esthetic services (manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, make-up, etc.), tattooing and piercing services, and tanning salons. Gatherings of up to 20 people are permitted.

Dr. Fitzgerald says when we enter alert level three, we may not have to wait the 28 days between alert levels.

A reminder that interprovincial travel will be permitted. Non-essential travel isn’t recommended outside NL.
