No New COVID-19 Cases in NL, 12 Active Cases


There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador today.

This keeps the total number at 259.

Of these cases, 4 are in hospital, 2 of which are in ICU. 244 have recovered. 9,296 people have been tested so far.

To date, there have been three deaths.

There are 12 active cases in the province.

Dr. Fitzgerald stressed the importance of maintaining social distancing over Mother's Day weekend.

Premier Ball says any businesses which have loans from government programs will have payments and interest deferred for six months.


There was 99 staff at the Health Sciences Centre possibly exposed to a COVID-19 patient. All 99 are in self-isolation. 98 tests have come back negative, one is still outstanding.
