No Injuries in Labrador City Apartment Fire

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has deemed a fire in Labrador City accidental due to an electrical malfunction.

Emergency crews responded to an apartment complex on Avalon Drive around 8:45 p.m. last night. The fire caused extensive damage to the basement, however, was contained to one unit in the building.

Occupants were able to evacuate without injury and have been provided alternative accommodations by the Iron Ore Company of Canada.
