No injuries following single-vehicle mishap in centre-city of St John's, Sunday evening

A single-vehicle mishap resulted in no injuries, however the vehicle sustained minor to moderate damage.

Emergency crews were called to Merrymeeting Road at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Sunday evening. The driver of a vehicle was traveling in the westbound lane, when the driver hit a city traffic sign.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the mishap, and was waiting inside of his vehicle when crews arrived. Firefighters attempted to push the vehicle of the median, so the driver could drive it to a near by parking lot but they were unsuccessful.

RNC waited on the scene till a tow truck could arrive, and traffic was slowed in the area for roughly an hour.
