No injuries following a vehicle fire in George's Brook early Saturday morning

Shortly before 12:50 AM on Saturday October 12, 2024 George's Brook-Milton Volunteer fire department along with Clarenville RCMP and Newfoundland health services responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Ellis Rd in George's Brook. As crews arrived on the scene the vehicle witch was fully engulfed by flames, crews made quick work of the fire and stayed on scene for a number of hours to make sure the vehicle was extinguished. The vehicle that was involved did suffer a gas leak as a result of the fire that ran down a small hill towards a salmon River, Clarenville RCMP contacted the proper authorities to deal with that situation it is unknown if the gas did make it to the river.
