NLCU launches annual food drive
The third annual Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union Fall Food Drive is underway at all 12 NLCU locations across the province.
Donations of non-perishable foods will go to local food banks. Cash donations will be given to the Community Food Sharing Association, which distributes food to 54 food banks in the province.
NLCU’s CEO, Glenn Bolger, explained the decision to hold an annual food drive. “'Our Communities’ is one of our core values. For years now NLCU has done something for the community as part of our recognition of International Credit Union Day, which falls on the third Thursday in October each year.
Donations of non-perishable foods and cash will be accepted at all branches until October 31.
