NL to move to Alert Level 4 as 519 new cases reported
Today there are 519 new cases of COVID-19. Yet another new record.
Of the new cases, 276 are in the Eastern Health region, 64 are in the Central Health region 43 are in the Western Health region, 125 are in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region and there are 11 cases of an unknown regional health authority.
There are 2925 active cases, 134 new recoveries, and one person is in hospital.
MOVE TO ALERT LEVEL 4
As of midnight tonight the entire province will move to Alert Level 4 for at least two weeks and will be reassessed on January 17.
The number permitted at informal gathers is 10 and the number at formal gatherings such as weddings funerals etc is 50.
Anyone who has been a close contact with a case and has symptoms should assume they are positive with COVID-19.
