NL to Eliminate Licence Plate Stickers
Effective June 15 there will no longer be a requirement for stickers to be affixed to vehicle licence plates.
Going forward, Motor Registration will continue to print and mail official registration documents but not stickers. Annual vehicle registration fees will still apply.
Copies of insurance and registration documents will still be required to be kept in vehicles at all times. Stickers currently issued must remain on the plate and will be valid until their expiry date.
Newfoundland and Labrador will be among the other provinces that currently do not require a sticker including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
